Founding- and General Director: Arthur Neher
A geographer specialized in geographical and land information systems with nearly 20 years of working experience in Europe, South-East Asia, Asia and Africa. Strong background in: Rural development with focus on land and water aspects, including river catchments, storage and retention of water, ecological zoning and habitat protection, and landscape and park management. Urban development with focus on urban planning and sustainable urban development. For both rural and urban development: appraisal of physical, institutional, political elements and development of related policies and guidelines. Policy development with emphasis on rural land use, agricultural development, ecological protection and subsidies, and (EU) policies and guidelines. Environmental development / natural resource management with experience in integration of physical aspects to assess land suitability and successively land evaluation and land use planning, and contributing to policy development. Data management with in-depth experience in GIS management and basic experience in GIS and remote sensing/image processing. Sustainable development with focus on the independent and commercial layer of business enhancing local development. In the latter concept international aid is embedded in a commercial business environment. Other skills include project planning and -management, proposal coordination, and institutional capacity building.
Close cooperation with international donor organisations and related professional parties, including various (local) government and (I)NGO’s.
